Henderson Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Henderson, North Carolina.
The course, then named West End Country Club, first opened for play in 1921 as a nine hole test of golf. The course has been redesigned many times since the 1920’s and the old sand greens of West End Country Club. The course expanded to 18-hole, and its current layout in 1968. Gene Hamm was the expansion architect who designed the course that is seen today.
This is a fairly hilly course. There are a lot of out-of-bounds stakes lining the fairways because of the homes situated alongside the holes. The course is well bunkered, and the greens are rolling and sloped. Water hazards (ponds and creeks) come into play on at least six holes.
